Entrust, IBM, Microsoft, Novell, Ping Identity, SAP and Siemens Pass Liberty Alliance SAML 2.0 Interoperability Testing

– Kantara Initiative and Liberty Alliance today announced that identity products from Entrust, IBM, Microsoft, Novell, Ping Identity, SAP and Siemens have passed Liberty Interoperable™ SAML 2.0 interoperability testing. These vendors participated in the third Liberty Interoperable full-matrix testing event to be administered by the Drummond Group Inc., and the first event to test products against the new eGovernment SAML 2.0 profile v1.5 recently released by Liberty Alliance. Web-based full-matrix testing allows vendors to participate from anywhere in the world and features rigorous processes for ensuring products meet SAML 2.0 interoperability requirements for open, secure and privacy-respecting federated identity management.

Liberty Alliance Announces SAML 2.0 Interoperability Testing Dates, Event First to Feature New SAML 2.0 eGovernment Profile

– Liberty Alliance today announced that the next Liberty Interoperable SAML 2.0 testing event will take place from July 14 – September 4, 2009. This is the third Liberty Interoperable full-matrix testing event administered by the Drummond Group Inc., and the first to test against the new eGovernment SAML 2.0 profile recently released by Liberty Alliance. Results of the testing will be announced in the fall.

Internet Society Joins Liberty Alliance Management Board

– Liberty Alliance today announced Aetna, Citi, Deutsche Telekom AG and UNINETT have won the 2008 IDDY (Identity Deployment of the Year) Award. This year the judging panel awarded IDDYs in three categories covering Liberty-based deployments, Liberty-based emerging applications and multi-protocol identity-enabled solutions incorporating open identity specifications from Liberty Alliance. Winners will receive the IDDY Award on-stage at CSO Magazine’s Digital ID World 2008 conference in Anaheim CA on September 9.
